We’re looking forward to launching our new engineering #RAEngIngenious project ‘Future Farming’ funded by The Royal Academy of Engineering. This activity will be at Careers Hive between 28 October – 2 November 2024. Taking place at the National Museum of Scotland, Careers Hive is an annual immersive event designed to revolutionise how young minds envision their futures.
For this new project, we are in search of agricultural engineers, or people from relevant sectors, to join us for a half-day idea-generation session late May/early June. The purpose of this session is to design a new engineering activity which engages young people aged 11-14, showcasing the diversity of careers available for engineers within the agriculture sector and ultimately inspiring them to study engineering. If you think your expertise could inspire the next generation, please contact ali.birkett@scifest.co.uk for more information.
The Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious scheme supports and funds innovative and impactful projects, such as this one, that engage underrepresented audiences with engineering whilst providing engineers with new skills and opportunities in public engagement.
