During Careers Hive, the National Museum of Scotland’s Grand Gallery became a vibrant hub of exploration and discovery.

This iconic space was filled with hands-on STEM activities, sparking curiosity and empowering students to imagine their futures in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Over five days, 2,061 pupils and teachers from 38 schools participated in Careers Hive, our free interactive STEM careers event. This year, we expanded our audience to include P7s, with attendees from 15 local authority areas. Notably, 709 pupils came from high-SIMD areas (Quantile 1 & 2), ensuring greater access for those from areas of high deprivation. To further support accessibility, we provided travel bursaries to 18 schools.
