Bursary Places
We’re delighted to be able to offer bursary places to help those who would otherwise struggle to attend the Edinburgh Science Delegate Programme. There are two types of bursary available: applicants are invited to apply for either or both.
Travel Bursary
This is a grant of up to £150 to support your travel to the Science Festival. We encourage all our visitors to use public transport if possible, but can cover fuel costs at 45p per mile. Ordinarily, we would ask that you book your travel and send us the receipts, but can make other arrangements if needed. We have two travel bursaries available.
Ticket Bursary
This is a sponsored place at the Edinburgh Science Festival Delegate Programme, offering two people fully subsidised tickets worth £100.
Full terms and conditions are available on the application form, or by emailing delegates@scifest.co.uk. We will not be means testing, and don’t require proof of income as part of the application form – we welcome applications from anyone for whom a financial barrier would stop them joining us as a Delegate. Applications will be open from 19 February – 18 March 2024, closing at 9am.
